Indian BBQ questions
Set expectations early.
Every answer stays conditional until the service, venue, and event scope are confirmed.
01What does Indian BBQ catering include?
Indian BBQ is available across the approved GTA from 25 guests. The C$100 total fee includes transportation, setup, teardown, and equipment. Staffing and the selected menu are separate.
02Can Indian BBQ be prepared at the venue?
Yes, when the venue permits the confirmed setup. Mehfill supplies tents, tables, and the tandoor; the client obtains venue and fire approval. Electrical, fuel, ventilation, access, and other site-specific requirements still need to be confirmed.
03Can Indian BBQ and live catering be combined?
They can be discussed together because BBQ is a menu and cooking direction while live catering is a service experience. Whether both are available for an event is confirmed after the team reviews the venue, service area, menu, staffing, and equipment.
04What staffing and service time apply?
The standard team is 5 service staff and 2 cooks for every live or BBQ event, with 2 additional service staff above 100 guests. Service runs for 2–3 hours. Each person is billed separately at C$18 per hour before HST with a 3-hour minimum; travel time is not billed.
05What happens if the event is outdoors?
Heavy rain or a thunderstorm activates the weather contingency. The written event plan must state the resulting service change or cancellation decision. Mehfill removes garbage and wastewater after service.
