The short answer

Mehfill provides Indian wedding catering across the GTA for events from 15 to 1,000 guests, including tastings, servers, tableware, live stations, and coordinated catering across multiple wedding events. Urgent requests are accepted with at least four hours’ notice, while venue permissions and the final service schedule remain part of the written plan.

Current GTA catering terms

Start with the facts that apply to every event.

Your quote brings the menu, event address, serving window and service scope into one plan. These current operating terms help you prepare the details before enquiring.

01

15 to 1,000 guests

Catering starts at 15 guests, with private, corporate, wedding, school, and community events planned up to 1,000 guests.

02

Urgent and same-day

Urgent and same-day requests are reviewed with at least four hours’ notice, subject to availability. Request seasonal dates early and confirm the final menu and headcount with the team.

Plan the service, not just the dishes

Four decisions that shape the quote.

Give each function its own guest count, meal time, and food format. Start with Mehndi party food ideas for an informal gathering, then plan the reception as a separate full meal. Punjabi Bites and the Indo-Chinese finger-food package offer different appetizer directions; the reception buffet dishes are selected within the agreed package framework.

The wedding catering planning guide helps record venues, meal windows, and menu changes across the celebrations. Confirm tastings, staffing, tableware, and live-station permissions as part of that written plan.

01

A connected event schedule

Map each meal and serving window across the ceremony, pre-events, and reception before choosing formats.

02

Venue coordination

Confirm access, outside-caterer rules, loading, utilities, service areas, and any live-cooking restrictions.

03

Menu progression

Plan variety across multiple gatherings without assuming the same menu or service style fits every moment.

04

Guest experience

Review queues, seating, buffet placement, staffing, dietary requests, and the flow between formalities.

Menu packages and pricing

Two useful package starting points.

Buffet frameworks still lead to a tailored proposal. Public tray pricing and live package rates are shown on their dedicated pages, while your written proposal brings the selected menu, delivery, setup, staffing, equipment, tax, and other event requirements into one clear scope.

Weddings questions

Helpful details before you enquire.

Start with what is available, then confirm the exact menu, service, and venue details for your event.

01Can one enquiry cover several wedding events?

Yes. List every planned date, venue, serving window, and estimated guest count so the catering team can review the celebrations as one schedule. Availability and scope are confirmed in writing.

02Can Indian BBQ or live catering be considered for a wedding?

They can be requested. The team must confirm the menu, venue permission, staffing, equipment, utilities, guest flow, and service capacity before either format is included.

03Are wedding package prices fixed?

Some public prices are now listed for catering trays and live packages, but wedding totals still depend on the selected menu, staffing, travel, equipment, venue needs, tax, gratuity, and any approved add-ons.

04Does Mehfill offer wedding tastings and service staff?

Yes. Tastings, servers, tableware, live stations, and multi-event wedding catering are available. Staffing is C$18 per staff member per hour before HST with a three-hour minimum per staff member; travel time is not billed. Equipment and the complete wedding scope are confirmed for the venue and schedule.
